Bharat Petroleum Launches E-Waste Management Initiative; Aims for Net Zero Waste by 2025.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched a unique initiative called “Sound Management of waste Disposal (SMWD)” to reduce and recycle e-waste. As a Fortune Global 500 company and the second-largest Indian Oil Marketing Company, All operating refineries and marketing locations of BPCL aim to achieve Zero waste-to-landfill certification.

E-waste contains valuable materials and hazardous and toxic substances, which can pose health risks and damage the environment if improperly disposed of. The waste generation issues at all operational refineries will be addressed to implement effective waste treatment techniques, reduce waste generated, and dispose of it through authorized vendors.

BPCL’s research & development department has continuously innovated, creating niche products and developing new technologies for business growth and sustainability.
