UP government to plant 35 crore saplings during the rainy season

During the monsoon season, the Uttar Pradesh government will plant 35 crore saplings as part of its yearly plantation effort.

According to officials, coordinators have been appointed for each of the 18 divisions to oversee and manage the nurseries. In every division, high-tech greenhouses are built with mist chambers, shade structures, sprinklers, vermicompost, and “jeevamrit.” In addition to some private ones, several nurseries are run by government agencies.

The species that will be planted have been divided into broad categories, such as those that produce food and fruit, fodder, and fuel, as well as commercially valuable ones, like lumber and bamboo variations.
