Ramayana-era plants and extinct trees across the city
In anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, the Ayodhya Development Authority is orchestrating the planting of Ramayana-era plants and extinct trees across the city. This symbolic initiative aims to enhance the spiritual ambiance and align with the historical significance of the upcoming event.
Nursery Director Ram Prakash Rathore shared insights into the preparations, revealing that an order for 50,000 plants is underway. These plants, sourced through various means of transportation, are expected to contribute to the ornate landscaping of Ayodhya in preparation for the momentous occasion. The lush greenery is envisioned as a serene backdrop for the consecration ceremony.
Vishal Singh, Vice Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority, emphasized the authority’s commitment to promoting plants mentioned in the Ramayana. In addition to this, there is a concerted effort to raise awareness about endangered plant species. The horticultural beautification focuses on flowers, enhancing the overall aesthetics of Ayodhya.
