CREDAI and IGBC signed an agreement to build 4,000 environmentally friendly projects by 2030

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), representing real estate developers, and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) have partnered to create over 4,000 green and sustainable projects by 2030.

Out of the 4,000 projects planned for this collaboration, the developers’ body would construct over 1,000 certified green projects across India in the next two years using IGBC Green and Net Zero building ratings. The collaboration will result in the addition of approximately 4,00,000 housing units in the category of green development across the nation.

With the support of the CREDAI-IGBC partnership, real estate developers should be better able to create and develop sustainable projects by exchanging essential knowledge and best practices. This cooperation will likely align the developers’ body with the nation’s goal of attaining Net Zero by 2070 and help CREDAI fulfill its targets of lowering its carbon footprint by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
