Climatora and SVT College of Home Science Organise Sustainability Workshop

Recently, SVT College of Home Science, in association with Climatora, hosted a transformative sustainability workshop titled ‘Sustainability in Daily Living.’ This enlightening event brought together college students passionate about environmental conservation. Chaired by the Principal SVT College of Home Science, Dr. Jagmeet Madan, the workshop included an orientation session by Dr. Priyadarshini Karve, MD, Samuchit EnviroTech, on the e-skill modules for climate studies brought forth by Climatora, and, felicitation of the winners of a comic strip competition “‘Eco Comics Challenge’ centred on sustainability themes.

This was part of the MOU signed between Climatora and SVT College to sensitize young learners around sustainability through various activities, including asynchronous learning of concepts like GHG Accounting and Solid Waste Management. The competition, so organized, encouraged students to creatively illustrate concepts of sustainable nutrition through engaging comic strips after careful evaluation by a panel of judges that included Dr. Madhuri R. Nigudkar, Retired Associate Professor and HOD of Food Nutrition and Dietetics, SVT College of Home Science, Mr Pradyuman Maheshwari, Editor in Chief and CEO, MXMIndia and Mr Shailesh Amonkar, Managing Partner, Climatora Climate Solutions LLP, the winning entries were selected for their creativity, relevance, and visual impact.

During the workshop, the talented winners were not just felicitated, but truly celebrated, receiving well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions to promoting sustainability awareness through art. They were awarded certificates of achievement and eco-friendly prizes sponsored by Avyannaa, a sustainable product company led by Vishakha Vidhani, as a heartfelt token of appreciation. The event not only honoured the creativity and dedication of the participants but also inspired other students to join the movement towards a greener future.
