Adani Green receives the Sustainability 4.0 award

The largest solar power developer in the world and the renewable energy division of the diversified Adani portfolio companies, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), has won the “Leaders Award” at the Sustainability 4.0 Award 2022, which was organized jointly by Frost & Sullivan and The Energy & Research Institute (TERI). Under the heading “Mega big enterprise,” AGEL won the “Sustainability Front Runners” title in the service industry.

Santosh Kumar Singh, Chief Sustainability Officer, AGEL, stated: “We remain committed to ESG goals, and this award confirms our tireless efforts to be an integral component of being resilient, proactive, and progressive with changing times.”

Frost & Sullivan has more than 50 years of expertise working with Global 1000 firms, developing businesses, and the investment community across six continents. TERI organized the 13th edition of the distinguished legacy. This award aims to honor the most influential companies that support sustainability and actively endeavor to protect the environment. It emphasizes how crucial it is to link an organization’s strategy, governance, and financial performance to the social, environmental, and economic context in which it works. Doing so enables organizations to make long-term decisions that guarantee stakeholder value.

AGEL’s dynamic approach to sustainability is evident in its business practices and CSR programs. AGEL has recently received certification for Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) for 100% of its operating capacity for FY22, and all of its operational sites are free of single-use plastics. In addition, AGEL has pledged to do business with “No Net Loss” to biodiversity as a signatory to the India Business and Biodiversity Initiative.
