2025 Compute for Climate Fellowship Empowers Carbon Removal Startups

The Compute for Climate Fellowship 2025, an initiative by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IRCAI (International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence, UNESCO-backed), is now accepting applications from climate-tech startups developing AI-driven solutions for sustainability.

This fellowship, now in its third consecutive year, offers up to $4 million in AWS cloud credits, expert mentorship, technical resources, and networking opportunities. The focus areas include carbon removal, clean energy, sustainable transportation, agriculture, and indigenous-led innovations.

H2: AWS and IRCAI Offer $4M in Cloud Support for Climate-Tech Startups

The Compute for Climate Fellowship aims to:

  • Support climate innovators : Provide startup funding, mentorship, and cloud computing resources.
  • Expand impact areas: Including a new category for indigenous-led solutions.
  • Accelerate sustainability projects: Prioritizing high-impact, scalable solutions that can be implemented within 2-3 months.
  • Offer broader accessibility: Non-selected startups receive $5,000 in AWS credits and access to guidance workshops and the IRCAI Industrial Club.
