Meet Our Subject Matter Expert
Dr Priyadarshini Karve, CEO, CLEAN and MD, Samuchit Enviro Tech is the curator of this module on GHG Accounting. She is a decorated physicist working in the climate change sector. Recipient of the Ashden Award for Renewable Energy in 2002, World Technology Award in Environment Category 2005, Sahyadri Hirakani Award 2011, Vasundhara Award 2014, “Unch Maza Zoka” Award 2015 and has most recently been featured as one of the 75 Women Trailblazers of Science in the Vigyan Vidushi book published by Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. A strategist for sustainable urbanization, she is also the founder of Orjabox, a green start up engaged in promoting LPG free kitchens. She has also devised an easy-to-use Carbon Footprint Calculator for Urban Indians that is now jointly promoted by Samuchit Enviro Tech and Climatora, on whose board she serves as an advisor. Dr Karve is the co-editor of ‘Shaikshanik Sandarbh’ a Marathi language bi-monthly on Science and Education, and a member of the Board of Editors for ‘Confluence: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies’. She is a TEDx speaker and has also been featured in a number of national and international periodicals, publications, radio and television programmes, and podcasts.
